Cross Country In 2 Days

The trip out to visit our families (and surprise visit some of them) was SO uneventful compared to our trip home. The cats traveled really well with us, considering that the farther east we drove the colder it got in our present-stuffed car. But they were so well behaved! What a blessing to have THREE cats that travel well! Good thing too...because we have to make this trip again in about 7 months!

Here are some pictures from the trip out.

Last call for the warm California sun!

Lynx's favorite spot...

Good kitties!

Nevada...

Utah... (near Salt Lake City)

After a grueling 16 hour drive, God told us to stop. The pass between Laramie, Wyoming and Cheyenne was too difficult to make, so we stoped in Laramie for the evening. The next day was a blur. No pictures for that one, sorry. After Wyoming, we drove through the never-ending state of Nebraska, then Iowa (where we saw snow and listened to Christmas music), Illinois, and on up to Wisconsin. We left California at 6 am on Wednesday, and by 1 am on Friday, we were sleeping in Mequon, Wisconsin, and kissing the ground, glad to be back on familiar territory (and more importantly...out of the car!) :)
