A Quick Visit to Yosemite

During the "Pastor's Gofl Tournament" day of the Pastor's Conference for the CA, NV, HI district, Jon and I took off for a quick trip to Yosemite. The drive through the mountains was beautiful and very relaxing. On our way we stopped for a quick picnic lunch (this time, thankfully, we were not attacked by angry bees!) amidst beautiful gigantic redwoods.



We didn't have much time since we had to be back at the conference for the banquet that evening, so we had to choose our activities wisely. We decided to head to Glacier Point where we could do a bit of hiking and see the Half Dome, the dried up Vernal and Nevada and Falls, the dried up Merced River, and the vast Yosemite Valley. On our hike about a mile down the mountain we got the opporutnity to play peek-a-boo with some friendly deer. :)
