Spirit West Coast 7/28-7/31...
We went to Monterey a week and a half ago for a concert called Spirit West Coast. We heard many different Christian artists like, Kutless, Matthew West, Third Day, Newsboys, MercyMe, Barrlow Girl, Todd Agnew, David Crowder Band, Caedmon's Call, etc. It was an amazing experience filled with great music and awesome fellowship. We were even able to witness a few God-moments while we were there. The one that meant the most to us was on the first night there. We left Vacaville late because our car's battery died. Therefore we didn't roll into our campsite unitl about 9-9:30pm. Lani and I were looking forward to seeing MercyMe and hearing the songs Word of God Speak and Homesick. Because we got there so late we figured that we would never make the concert in time. Surprisingly when we got there within minutes a shuttle bus was there loading up people to go to the concert. We jumped on and got to the concert with about 3 songs left. The first song we heard once we actually made it to the stage was Word of God Speak, a song played at our wedding, which means a lot to Lani and I. The song that immediately following it was Homesick, a song that speaks about lossing a loved one and longing to be reunited with them in heaven. This song has been a rock for our whole family during these past months with the lost of Josh. Let me tell you, it was amazing to hear everyone singing this song at the top of their lungs. What was most powerful for me was to look up into the sky and know that Josh was singing right along with us praising our Lord in heaven, and knowing that God is with us and that He was right there beside us with His arms wrapped around us as the tears came out of our eyes and as Lani and I hugged each other. How awesome is our God!!
We wanted to share some of the pictures that we took with you all. Enjoy!
