We're Having a Baby!

Most have already heard the news, but by gum, it's about time we announce it on our blog. As you can see, since December we've had our hands quite full. There have been a lot of staff changes and challenges at the church (I will spare you the details), so we've had our hands full with all of the ministries that needed care and restoration. In January, Lani started teaching 5th grade in the afternoons (art, religion, health, science, and music) . She loves the change that it brought to her life out here (mostly being in contact with people other than Jon throughout the day and escaping the prison that was her home, but also getting back into teaching). Then right around Valentine's Day we found out that God had yet another curve ball for the plans that we called our lives...we're having a baby! The sonogram picture here is at 14 weeks. We're not planning on finding out the sex of the baby--we want to be surprised! Baby is due around October 15th, so we will be closer to home and to family, which always makes everyone happy. :) Now we just need to find a place to live in St. Louis...
